THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-respected Yorkshire-based civil engineering contractor, who works across a number of Joint Ventures, Public-Private Partnerships, and alternative forms of contract. They have recently secured various schemes ranging from highway work to local authority packages, and are looking for an experienced Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer to join their existing team.
THE ROLE
You will be working on 278 Works / Public Realm / Paving / Earthworks / Retaining Walls / New Road Construction / Road Surfacing / Road Junctions / Round About / Drainage / Externals / Landscaping
Setting Out (Groundworks, Drainage, Foundations, Landscaping
All associated paperwork / Record Keeping / QA Sub-contract
Dealing with all technical queries and issues
Oversee revision of drawings, ensuring that designs adhere to building regulations
Managing all permits
Liaise with sub-contractors and the Site Management team
Communicating and technical support to colleagues and Sub Contractors
ABOUT YOU
As a Site Engineer/Setting Out Engineer, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on highways and public realm schemes to be considered for this vacancy.
Civil Engineering/Construction Management Qualification e.g. HNC/HND/Degree level
Experience working as a Site Engineer minim 5 Years
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to use initiative to identify and solve problems
Excellent planning and time management skills
Strong attention to detail

For your skills and experience, we can offer an excellent day shift rate of £300 working 8.5 hours Monday to Friday, Saturdays will be available from April at £300 day rate working half day.
